Daniel Craig takes on the role of a detective tasked with solving a murder in a wealthy American family in Knives Out, as he revealed his best Southern accent in the new trailer.
The film sees Daniels character drafted in after Harlan Thrombey, an author and the patriarch of a rich family dies mysteriously, but thats only the tip of the iceberg for this dysfunctional family.
Directed by Rian Johnson, who was the director of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Knives Out looks to be full of drama as well as one-liners as each family member tries to get the better of the other.
The film has an all-star cast including Jamie Lee Curtis, Chris Evans, Michael Shannon and Toni Collette starring alongside Daniel as he tries to untangle the web of lies he has been told.
Chris had said that he was relishing the chance to play someone vile, explaining: Its nice to play somebody a little more vile. I dont always get the opportunity to play someone whos so despicable; so yeah, its fun.
Knives Out premiered at The Toronto International Film Festival to glowing reviews from critics.
BFI London Film Festival Director Tricia Tuttle said of the film: With Knives Out , Rian Johnson has crafted a devilishly clever and wickedly entertaining new crime caper.
This is impeccably designed, with writing that keeps you guessing to the final moments and his extraordinary cast are at their arch and compelling best.
Knives Out is a whodunit, as sharp as the blade that killed the patriarch at the heart of the film.
