A friendly black bear cub was shot dead by government officials after people kept taking selfies with and it made it too tame.

The bear was killed in Hagg Lake, Oregon, over the weekend amid fears it had lost all fear of people, and could pose a threat to human safety.

Workers from the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife said they decided to euthanize the bear after spotting a pile of trail mix and sunflower seeds left for it to eat.

Washington County Sheriffs Office had warned against feeding the animal last week after noticing it hanging around a boat ramp, but their pleas fell on deaf ears.

They were hit by complaints after the bear was shot, and but insisted trying to rehome the animal in a sanctuary wasnt a viable option.

While the individuals who put food out for this bear may have had good intentions, bears should never, ever be fed.Read More – Source
