If youre looking for a good scare this Christmas, Netflixs new horror movie Bird Box might be the one for you.
Released to Netflix earlier today, the new thriller boasts a star-studded cast featuring Sandra Bullock, Sarah Paulson and Trevante Rhodes.
Its an adaptation of Eric Heisseners novel of the same name and is set in a post-apocalyptic future where residents must keep their eyes blindfolded to avoid a force that makes them go to extreme things such as taking their own lives.
While the premise of Bird Box has been compared to the critically-acclaimed A Quiet Place starring Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, Netflix viewers think Susanne Biers movie holds enough substance to stand out on its own.
Fans have taken to Twitter in their droves to praise the casts performance, in particular Sandra who plays the lead role of Malorie.
Gotta love Sandy.
Among the most intense reactions:

Just watched #BirdBox on @NetflixUK.
Don't let the easy Quiet Place comparisons sway your judgement. Go in as "blind" as possible and you'll find a great thriller with a fantastic cast.
2018 has been a great year for horror. pic.twitter.com/LCTmd3hKjp

#BirdBox is bloody brilliant! Congratulations @JoshMalerman and everyone involved in making this movie. I was sceptical the brilliance of the book could be captured on film but boy was I wrong. Best film I've seen this year. pic.twitter.com/BPKf0w4aIK

It wasnt the easiest film to shoot with Sandra, 54, revealing how she and the cast learnt how to walk around blindfolded.
During her recent appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Sandra said: Someone came in and gave us within three months a way to navigate our senses.
Once we dont have sight you realise you can hear solid objects. You can sense that theres a wall.
Bird Box also stars rapper Machine Gun Kelly who is making quite the name for himself in Hollywood.

Opening up about: I play a pill popper named Felix whos out for a “delivery” when the epidemic breaks out. Wild fact about the house we shot in is that Charles Manson used to stay there right before he committed his murders.
The director [Susanne Bier] made us all — [Sandra Bullock] included — sit in one room together all day until it was time to shoot. It really made us go a little crazy and bonded us at the same time, which is what happens in the film.
