The Jacob Rees-Mogg fishing protest didn’t go entirely to plan and everyone’s making the same joke

Jacob Rees-Mogg was due to take to the River Thames today in a Brexit protest about fishing policy but things didn’t go entirely to plan for the Tory MP after this happened.

Jacob Rees-Mogg was supposed to board the Brexit fishing boat at Embankment pier. But he's just been told he's not allowed on because no one asked TFL's permission

Which meant he had to do this.

In Rees-Mogg’s absence someone else got on the boat instead.

And lots of people were quick to point out the same thing.

Here’s what Rees-Mogg had to say.

Quote of the day, from Jacob Rees-Mogg:

Journalist: "But it does appear that we [Britain] are the ones making most of the concessions."
Jacob Rees-Mogg: "Well, that shows that we know how to negotiate"
